Gallery New York is photographer Horst Hamann’s deeply personal tribute to a 40-year journey between New York and his hometown Mannheim. The Visual Identity is carried entirely by typography, through a custom typeface and a logotype drawn from a very personal source: a letter scrawled by Hamann’s son. The typeface itself is uppercase, dense, and loud, like the city that never sleeps.
