Chairman

Chairman is a book on German designer Thomas Schnur, published by Verlag der Buchhandlung Walther und Franz König. As a self-proclaimed “chairman” in both senses of the word, Schnur designs chairs and furniture that address ecological, economic, and social challenges. Across 172 pages and 329 illustrations, it traces his design process through sketches, photos, and drawings. The layout is deliberately constructed, images precisely aligned to an axis. The cover carries the introductory text, a quiet contrast to the image-rich inside.
